Itinerary

Day 1 Fez -Ifrane – Midelt –  Ziz valley- Merzouga

Today, Pick up at 07.30 am from the hotel/riad travel from Fez to the Merzouga desert but this will not be any ordinary drive. we will stop along the way in a number of enjoyable destinations. The first stop will be Ifrane, the alpine-style townhome to ski slopes and cedar forests situated in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains to observe/feed the Barbary Monkey… Moving to the popular pitstop of Midelt ( break for lunch)  before carrying on through the lush green Ziz Valley and making a stop in Erfoud before reaching Merzouga.

Upon arrival Merzouga, transfer to the hotel to store your luggage, the camels will be waiting for us for a camel trekking experience (around 45 min) to enjoy the sunset on camelback to nomad tents where you will have dinner under the starry sky with Berber folklore show (overnight desert camp).

Day 2: Transfer Merzouga – Marrakech (11hours)

wake up early to enjoy the sunrise on the Sahara dunes. After that, ride the camelback again to the riad/ hotel for breakfast & a shower. Then, be ready for an amazing drive to Marrakech passing by, Kelaat Mgouna, Dades valley, sakura, and Ouarzazate. lunch at Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Continue our trip crossing High Atlas Mountains, Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260 min altitude) while enjoying superb views and Berber Villages on the way. Finally, On arrival to Marrakech, transfer to Hotel or Riad end of Fez Marrakech Desert trip.

We are family of 4 with 2 small kids, and we took a private hire large car with all our luggage from Meknes to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss and then to our hotel in Fes, which was 7 hours incl sightseeing. Our driver Ismail was great! Throughout he was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and knew where to stop for a view or eat or what to avoid. Highly recommend! Inexpensive, amazing service, friendly driver, easy to communicate with. The van was a brand new Mercedes van. driver arrived early and waited for us as we were running late. He had water waiting for us and drove speedily to get us to airport...same price as using a taxi/car.om Careem (Morocco version of Uber) which is insane for a Mercedes sprinter van...Dricer was super nice and friendly. Best tour in Marokko.

Inoubliable, fantastique experience
Nous avons eu une experience merveilleuse avec notre guide Imad14. Imad, un homme aimable et très sympathique, nous a emmené dans un voyage inoubliable dans le désert de Merzouga. Au départ, 7 heures de route nous paraissaient beaucoup, mais rien n'est plus éloigné de la vérité. Les arrêts étaient super/belles et les paysages admirables, avec le paysage désertique inoubliable avec 2 fantastiques balades à dos de chameau comme cerise sur le gâteau. Le séjour dans le camp de tentes était également meilleur que ce à quoi nous nous attendions (toilettes et douche dans la tente). Nos jeunes ont même pu profiter un moment du sandboard. Cette partie de notre tournée à travers le Maroc est certainement l'un de nos moments préférés. Même le dîner au camp nous a surpris en termes de goût et de qualité. Un grand merci Imad !
