Itinerary

Day 1: Fez -Ifrane – Midelt –  Ziz valley- Merzouga

Today, Pick up at 07.30 am from the hotel/riad travel from Fez to the Merzouga desert. However, this will not be any ordinary drive. Certainly, We will stop along the way in a number of enjoyable destinations. Firstly, The first stop is Ifrane, the alpine-style townhome to ski slopes and cedar forests situated in Morocco’s Middle Atlas Mountains to observe/feed the Barbary Monkey. After that, Moving to the popular pitstop of Midelt. ( break for lunch)  Before carrying on through the lush green Ziz Valley, and making a stop in Erfoud before reaching Merzouga where you will spend the night at the hotel/riad. (Dinner/overnight Merzouga HTL/Riad)

Day 2: Rissani excursion- Camel trekking experience

Following, breakfast, 10.30 am to enjoy Rissani excursion through sand dunes and visit desert village Khamlia to learn about rich heritage in southeastern Morocco, Attend a musical performance by “Pigeons du Sable”, and immerse yourself with  Gnawa traditional music, Also, Walk-in khamLia to discover traditional houses belonged to the first inhabitants of the village.

Then, have a funny excursion to Rissani to see kasbah, and old palaces; lunch with a traditional Moroccan pizza «Madfouna ». Back to the hotel to relax, and be ready for the camel trekking experience (around 45 min) to enjoy the sunset on camelback to nomad tents where you will have dinner under the starry sky with Berber folklore show (overnight desert camp).

Day 3: Merzouga-Rissani- Midelt -Ifrane – Mouzar- Fez

Get up, early for the beckoning Erg Chebbi sunrise! enjoy camel-trek back to the hotel/riad for breakfast and shower before beginning our journey back to Fez. On-road again pass through Rissani, visiting Zawiya Moulay Ali Ash-Sharif, dramatic Ziz Valley, Damn Hassan El-Awal ( break for lunch), During, the 3rd day, we will visit family lives in the cave at Immouzar. Finally, At the end  Fez desert tours 3 days drop off (hotel/riad in Fez).

Great service
We are family of 4 with 2 small kids, and we took a private hire large car with all our luggage from Meknes to Volubilis, Moulay Idriss and then to our hotel in Fes, which was 7 hours incl sightseeing. Our driver Ismail was great! Throughout he was polite, friendly, knowledgeable and knew where to stop for a view or eat or what to avoid. Highly recommend! Inexpensive, amazing service, friendly driver, easy to communicate with. The van was a brand new Mercedes van. driver arrived early and waited for us as we were running late. He had water waiting for us and drove speedily to get us to airport...same price as using a taxi/car.om Careem (Morocco version of Uber) which is insane for a Mercedes sprinter van...Dricer was super nice and friendly. Best tour in Marokko.

Inoubliable, fantastique experience
Nous avons eu une experience merveilleuse avec notre guide Imad14. Imad, un homme aimable et très sympathique, nous a emmené dans un voyage inoubliable dans le désert de Merzouga. Au départ, 7 heures de route nous paraissaient beaucoup, mais rien n'est plus éloigné de la vérité. Les arrêts étaient super/belles et les paysages admirables, avec le paysage désertique inoubliable avec 2 fantastiques balades à dos de chameau comme cerise sur le gâteau. Le séjour dans le camp de tentes était également meilleur que ce à quoi nous nous attendions (toilettes et douche dans la tente). Nos jeunes ont même pu profiter un moment du sandboard. Cette partie de notre tournée à travers le Maroc est certainement l'un de nos moments préférés. Même le dîner au camp nous a surpris en termes de goût et de qualité. Un grand merci Imad !
